My conure's food is ALWAYS a pinkish red because she seems to like to fill her food dish with pellets. And she also bathes in it. Eww! I tried separating but it still happens, and then she gets annoyed and pulls the water dish off the cage so it falls down. I've since put them back side by side and just try to clean it frequently.
