Montgomery County ESD #1 is located in and provides emergency services to the northern portion of Montgomery County, Texas. Three stations are staffed 24 hours per day with a minimum of 13 certified firefighters. Off-duty firefighters provide coverage for the two remaining fire stations. Montgomery County ESD #1 averages approximately 4,500 emergency calls per year in a 145 square miles district with 44,000 civilians. The communities we serve include, but are not limited to, both residential and commercial structures as well as multiple urban-wild land interface areas which include Sam Houston National Forest. Some unique characteristics of our district include Lake Conroe, which is a 21,000 acre lake, 10 miles of Interstate 45, and 10 miles of Union Pacific Railroad.
Montgomery County ESD #1's main focus is to provide our citizens with the highest level of Fire Protection and Preservation of life. Through aggressive Training, the Desire to Serve, the Courage to Act, and the Ability to Perform.
